Summer Swimming at Pesci Pool

The staff at Pesci Pool is pleased to welcome you back for another summer of swimming and fun!  Once again, we will be offering a variety of swimming opportunities that we hope you will enjoy.
 

ADMISSION FEES:
The Park and Rec Department offers a season pass which allows admission to town pools for the entire summer. 
 
The cost is as follows:   Res.    Non-Res.
     Family Pass:             $30        $50
     Individual Adult:      $15        $20
     Individual Youth:      $10        $15
 
 
The cost for daily admission is:
          Adults:                       $1.00
          Children (under 17):    $0.50
          Senior Citizens (62+): FREE!
 
 
HIGH SCHOOL POOL:
The Windsor Locks High School Pool will
not be open this summer.
 


PESCI POOL:
Monday – Friday
9:00 am – 12:00 pm         Swimming Lessons
Noon – 1:00 pm         Adult Swim & Parent/Toddler Swim – Children must be under 6 years or younger and accompanied by a parent in the water.
1:00 – 4:30 pm         Open Swim *

*  Please Note:  Swimmers under 14 years of age
    must be accompanied by an adult.

2022 SWIMMING LESSON INFORMATION
 
Our staff of instructors is looking forward to teaching your children this summer.  Although our goal is to develop good swimming skills and water safety awareness, this may not be possible for your child in just two weeks.  We encourage you to work with your children whenever possible.  Enjoy your children’s progress during the open swim hours that are offered at Pesci Pool.
 




  • There is a $25 Registration Fee for WINDSOR LOCKS RESIDENTS for lessons.  Out of Town patrons will be allowed to register only after Session 1 has been completed.  The out of town registration fee for lessons is $35.  Payment must be made at time of registration.


  • Registration is done on a first come, first serve basis.  Registrations will NOT be taken over the phone.


  • You may register your child for only ONE session now.  There will be specific days throughout the summer to register for additional sessions if available.


  • It is strongly recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) that children under the age of 4 NOT take swimming lessons.  However, Pesci Pool offers Parent and Child Classes through the American Red Cross, which meets the needs of children under the age of 4 and is in accordance with the guidelines from the AAP.  The Parent and Child Class is a class for children 6 months to 3 years in which parents are in the water with their children.  Trained staff works with both parent and child to learn basic skills and safety through games and repetition.  The goal of the class is to have children feel safe and comfortable near the water.

A Special Note to Parents:  It is our policy that parents are NOT permitted on the pool deck during swimming lessons.  You -may watch your child from outside the fence only.  Because of the gap in lessons from summer to summer some swimmers may lose endurance.  If this should occur, the lifeguards may reassign the swimmer to a more appropriate level.
